Our symposium is open to interdisciplinary studies that examine migration, asylum, forced mobility, refuge, and integration processes from a theoretical or field-based perspective across all disciplines, particularly Law, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Communication, History, Health Sciences, and Literature.

4th International Symposium on "Global Migration Phenomenon" with Its Security, Economic, Social, Political, and Cultural Dimensions

Over the last three decades, normative political theory and international relations literature have predominantly addressed the phenomenon of migration through the legal and ethical framework governing the relationship between individual migrants and destination states. This approach has primarily focused on the tension between states' sovereign rights to restrict entry, individuals' claims to free movement, and duties regarding integration into host societies.

However, contemporary global mobility has evolved into a highly multi-layered, dynamic, and institutional structure that can no longer be confined to a simple individual-state binary. Local and supranational governance bodies, commercial actors, non-governmental organizations, academia, and think tanks have become key stakeholders in the global migration regime.

Capital House (House of Thought of the Capital) Perspective and Objective of the Symposium

As an independent intellectual ecosystem and think tank based in Ankara, Capital House evaluates migration not merely through crisis and security frameworks, but within the broader perspective of regional memory, cultural diplomacy, human development, and a shared vision for the future.

Our symposium aims to examine migration holistically through its security, economic, sociological, political, and cultural dimensions. Our core objective is to deepen critical discourse within an interdisciplinary framework and to establish a robust intellectual bridge between abstract theoretical debates and ground-level social realities.
