Key Topics

Our International Interdisciplinary Violence Conference invites you to explore these and other questions about violence and our societies. Subject to the presentations and discussions which take place at the meeting, there is a possibility for a selective publication to emerge with the aim of engendering further interdisciplinary collaboration and discussion.

We welcome proposals from a wide range of perspectives and voices, on topics including but not limited to:

  • Historical attitudes toward violence

  • Specific instances of violence

  • Domestic violence

  • Abuse

  • Violence against infants and younger children

  • Emotional abuse and violence

  • Violence in healthcare

  • Workplace violence

  • Mobbing

The aim of this inclusive interdisciplinary conference and collaborative networking event is to bring people together and encourage creative conversations in the context of a variety of formats: papers, seminars, workshops, storytelling, performances, poster presentations, problem-solving sessions, case studies, panels, q&a’s, round-tables etc. Creative responses to the subject, such as poetry/prose, short film screenings/original drama, installations and alternative presentation styles that engage the audience and foster debate are particularly encouraged. Please feel free to put forward proposals that you think will get the message across, in whatever form.

Guidelines for Authors

Please ensure your submission meets the conference's strict guidelines for accepting scholarly papers.  Please download the Abstract Template for preparation of your abstract.

GUIDELINES FOR THE ABSTRACT 

  • The acceptable word range for the abstract is 250 – 350 words. The abstracts which do not meet this word limit will be asked for revisions.

  • Your submission should be in English or Turkish.

  • Please add your academic title, email adress, ORCID (if you have), university name 

  • We encourage you to send informative abstract (complete abstract) which is a compendious summary of a paper’s substance including its background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion

Full Paper Guidelines

If your abstract is accepted and you have paid the registration fee for the conference you are encouraged to submit manuscripts before April 15th,  2022. 

Final manuscripts must be sent to info@capitalconference.org

We accept the submission of high quality papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, experimental and theoretical work or research in all of the areas mentioned. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Where To Send

Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit  abstracts or full text papers including results, tables, figures and references. Full text papers (doc) will be accepted via email info@capitalconference.org directly.

• One Best Oral Presentation will be selected from each oral session. The Certificate will be awarded right after each session ends, so please stay the whole duration of the session.

Publication Ethics


We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the hallmark any academic event and the production of epistemic production. Hence, any act of plagiarism will disqualify the participant/s from the academic event.

In order to participate in the conference, at least one author of each paper must register for the conference.You're simply required to  send the receipt to us via email before the registration deadline 15 March 2022. The payment links will be sent prior to the deadline to each applicant.
